Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to support our busy ophthalmic practice, which emphasizes delivering quality and compassionate care to all patients requiring comprehensive eye care services.

Key Responsibilities:
This role necessitates strong customer service abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent judgment.

Essential ophthalmic tasks include:

  • Collecting and documenting patient medical histories
  • Assessing visual acuity
  • Conducting automated refraction tests
  • Administering prescribed eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions
  • Performing administrative and clinical duties, including data entry into electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Providing exceptional patient services
  • Maintaining and caring for medical equipment and instruments

Qualifications:
Reliable transportation is essential for travel to various locations as needed. Candidates must be adaptable and willing to travel. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to seek guidance in unfamiliar areas are crucial. Recognizing inconsistencies is also important.

Education:
Completion of an accredited high school program is required.
