Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Dietary Aide to join our exceptional team of caregivers at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver food items for residents' meals, including juice, applesauce, and pudding for med passes.
- Set up resident meals trays according to specified diets, including napkins, place mats, silverware, and condiments.
- Place hot and cold food items on residents' trays at mealtime, following menu and diet card guidelines.
- Prepare sandwiches, juices, and special meal items according to diet cards and place on trays at mealtimes.
- Deliver meal trays to appropriate destinations on the nursing floor and retrieve trays at appropriate times.
- Break down trays and items on trays by putting through the dish machine and restocking the machine with chemicals.
- Take out trashcans after each meal, sweep, mop, and sanitize work areas according to checklists.
- Assist the cook when needed and make authorized food substitutions.
- Participate in food preparation for special meals, parties, and other events.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is required.
- Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical/drug screen.
