Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Great Wolf Lodge. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurants, ensuring exceptional hospitality, and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Execution: Communicate expectations to lead servers and restaurant staff to ensure efficient operations and meet all set standards.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for front-of-house operations, including scheduling, payroll, reservations, inventory, receiving, and personnel-related matters.
  • Guest Experience: Interact with guests and pack members, provide feedback to staff throughout their shift to ensure quality service, and work with management to investigate and resolve guest concerns.
  • Staff Management: Assist with the overall operation of the restaurant, including point-of-sale transactions, expediting, re-stocking, quality, and staff breaks and performance.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that restaurants are sanitized, cleaned, stocked, and set up correctly for opening and throughout the shift, adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
  • Communication: Communicate with fellow supervisors through various shifts to ensure successful operations of the restaurant.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify out-of-order equipment and pass along to management for repair, and support management in staff performance-related matters, including employee reviews, corrective action, investigations, conflict resolution, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: Some high school education or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ year previous experience in a food service team lead capacity or leadership role, and 1+ year utilizing point-of-sale technology.
  • Skills: Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) as they apply to cash handling, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and general software systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Proven teamwork, projects a professional image that inspires trust and confidence, enthusiastic and positive energy, and flexibility regarding scheduling based on business demands.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Prior experience with Micros POS, Serve-Safe, and/or TIPS certification.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, stretch, and twist, and stand for long periods of time.
