Job Title: Senior Network Admin

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Admin to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Network Admin to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity and infrastructure on our client's network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network operations and support, with experience in installing and troubleshooting WAN and LAN network equipment and circuits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain smooth operation of local area, worldwide, and virtual private networks (VPN)
  • Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network
  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing
  • Propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage
  • Prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions
  • Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems
Requirements
  • 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Strong experience in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting ASA firewall ACLs
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot network issues at the protocol/packet level using sniffers, protocol analyzers, NetFlow, logging, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Internetworking, including IP addressing, switching, and routing
  • Experience with network and performance monitoring tools (SolarWinds, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Cisco VoIP, including PoE switches and Call Manager
  • Experience with NSA Type 1 cryptographic devices and keymat
