Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team in the Switchgear Assembly department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling electrical units, switchgear, and other Powell products, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly and Quality Control: Assemble electrical units, switchgear, and other products according to drawings and instructions, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Maintenance and Repair: Repair identified discrepancies with switchgear units and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety culture, attend safety meetings, and ensure adherence to all manufacturing policies and practices to meet ISO requirements.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with Senior Assemblers and Lead Assemblers to achieve team goals, and effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Adapt to new ideas, technology, processes, or product changes, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve skills.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 0-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to read a tape measure, knowledge of machines and tools, basic command of the English language, and basic computer knowledge.
- Physical Demands: Ability to maintain body equilibrium, bend, stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently, and use hand tools for long periods.
The successful candidate will work in a temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment at all times.
