Cardiac Interventional Radiographer Opportunity

Medasource is seeking a skilled Cardiac Interventional Radiographer to join our team in Lafayette, Indiana. As a leading national healthcare consulting firm, we're dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for our consultants.

Job Summary

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cardiac Interventional Radiographer to provide general patient care to cardiac catheterization patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as experience with various cardiac catheterization procedures and related equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general patient care to cardiac catheterization patients
  • Set up and run equipment for cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Perform basic cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
  • Work with sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment to take images of the heart and blood vessels
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Post high school course work in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Additional college coursework in health care; biological sciences or related disciplines preferred
  • Knowledge of various cardiac catheterization procedures and related equipment
  • Knowledge of scrubbing and circulating techniques
  • Knowledge of respiratory, EKG equipment, and basic knowledge of cardiac and emergency procedures
