Total Care ABA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. As an RBT, you will play a vital role in implementing behavior intervention plans and supporting clients in reaching their goals.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented RBT to provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to clients in various settings, such as home, school, or community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
Responsibilities:- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA.
- Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to clients in various settings.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior using designated data collection methods.
- Assist clients in acquiring and mastering skills across various domains.
- Implement behavior management strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior.
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify behavior intervention plans based on client progress and needs.
- Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate regularly with the BCBA and team members to update on client progress, challenges, and successes.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in ABA therapy.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field is a plus.
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans, collect data, and provide feedback to the BCBA.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting client progress and session notes.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing professional development and training.
