Archivist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Archivist to join our team at Speedway Motors Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preserving, organizing, and managing the company's historical documents, records, and collections.

• Create and maintain accurate inventories of archival records.
• Rehouse and conserve archival materials.
• Conduct descriptive cataloging of records and extract their data into spreadsheets.
• Develop and implement effective display and signage strategies for our museum.
• Digitize records by scanning or photographing and create their metadata for ingestion into our digital asset management system.
• Provide excellent customer service through phone, email, onsite appointments, and web inquiries.
• Continuously improve processes and suggest productivity enhancements to optimize team member workflow.

• Experience in organization, cataloging, or curating.
• Knowledge of graphic design and/or Photoshop.
• Demonstrated interest in history, archives, library sciences, or museum studies.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
