Physician Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Ortho Rhode Island as a Physician Assistant in our Orthopedic department. As a key member of our surgical team, you will work closely with world-class surgeons and clinicians to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons in the operating room and provide post-operative care to patients.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and treatments of orthopedic injuries and conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs, and lab studies.
- Consult with physicians as needed and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Provide therapeutic treatments, including medications, injections, and physical therapy referrals.
- Perform minor office and emergency room procedures, such as fracture reductions and laceration repairs.
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate records.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid Rhode Island license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and EMR software.
- Strong surgical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires working in a dynamic, patient-focused environment with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and maintain accurate records.
