Riderflex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Laboratory Services to join our client, Knightingale Health Services, LLC, in Midland, MI.
Job Summary:The Director of Laboratory Services will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and operations of the laboratory departments to meet organizational needs. This role requires leadership and expertise in managing the department, including accountability for human resources, financial management, and quality management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership development and oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Coordinate meetings and committees related to patient care and staff development.
- Develop and coordinate workgroups to address organizational goals.
- Develop and monitor performance indicators/metrics for assigned departments/services.
- Support compliance efforts, resolve areas of non-compliance, and maintain confidentiality.
- Protect organizational assets and exhibit consistent application of personal/business ethics and integrity.
- Evaluate business initiatives and recommend process/system redesign and new services.
- Oversee the performance of laboratory employees to deliver quality test results to physicians and patients.
- Maintain standards and accreditation for CAP, OSHA, Joint Commission, CLIA, FDA, and AABB.
- Certifications: MLS- Medical Laboratory Scientist ASPC.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Master's degree in related field.
- Experience: 3 years of clinical laboratory experience and 5 years of management experience in healthcare.
- Trauma Level II experience required.
- Leadership skills needed to effectively direct a group.
- Written and interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups.
- Knowledge of basic techniques in financial analysis.
