Healthcare Receptionist Job Description
Medix is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Receptionist to join our team. As a Healthcare Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare facilities.
About the Role
- Welcome patients and office visitors in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes for all scheduled patients.
- Input and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
- Educate patients on their insurance coverage, including in-network and out-of-network benefits.
- Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed and filed.
- Confirm proper registration and obtain signatures on billing documents from patients or responsible parties.
- Process and record patient payments.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Receive lab results from external facilities, date stamp them, and forward them to the clinical team.
Requirements
- Experience working with insurances.
- Medical Secretary experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
