Assessment Audiologist for Veterans Medical Evaluation

We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The position involves reviewing a Veteran's pre-existing medical records, which are uploaded into a computer portal before the appointment. The Audiologist will conduct a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. A Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) will be completed in the computer portal, providing essential medical evidence for the VA to determine the veteran's benefits.
This role is distinct from prescribing medical treatments or devices.
Average caseload is 3-6 Veterans per day, with a consistent schedule of 2/3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments on Veterans using standardized tests and procedures.
- Review and analyze pre-existing medical records for each patient.
- Complete a DBQ in the computer portal to provide critical medical evidence.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants must have:
- An Au.D degree from an ASHA Accredited school.
- A current license as an Audiologist.
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
