Job Title: Senior Python Developer with AWS Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with expertise in AWS to join our team at eTek IT Services, Inc. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our software applications and databases using Python and AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Development: Develop and maintain Python-based applications and tools, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • AWS Infrastructure: Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure to support our software applications and databases.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Python applications with other systems, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Data Processing: Optimize and scale data processing pipelines using Python and AWS services, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address technical issues, troubleshooting as necessary to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and best practices.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Ensure best practices and standards are followed in software development, including code reviews and testing.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
  • Database Management: Support and maintain databases and data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends, applying new knowledge and skills to improve our software applications and databases.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience as a Python developer, with a proven track record of working with AWS services.
  • Skills: Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, proficiency in database management and SQL, experience with software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques, familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, and understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in Python and AWS are a plus.
