Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substitute Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the California Department of Education. As a Substitute LVN, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and support to our students and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to students and staff
  • Assist with medical procedures and treatments as needed
  • Administer medications and perform other nursing tasks as required
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
  • Valid California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant certificate
  • At least one-and-a-half years of college-level coursework in nursing or a related healthcare field, or two years of clinical experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
