We are seeking a highly skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Metropolitan Healthcare Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety in the endoscopy department.
Key Responsibilities- Apply aseptic technique principles to equipment preparation and maintenance, and assist with procedures while identifying potential compromises to sterile/High Level Disinfectant integrity.
- Disassemble, identify defective or malfunctioning parts, and provide preventive maintenance for all procedure supplies and equipment, including endoscopes, according to regulatory standards.
- Determine methods of High-Level Disinfection for products based on material and/or manufacturer's instructions, and check and calibrate equipment according to established protocols.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong attention to detail. Ability to perform ambulatory technician duties as assigned, such as obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients.
Requirements- No licensure or certification is required, but a High-Level Disinfection certification is highly encouraged.
