Janitorial Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a Porter/Custodial, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive environment throughout the store. This includes cleaning and sanitizing the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area, as well as maintaining proper department conditions and supplies.

• Perform maintenance and janitorial duties to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Clean and sanitize high-touch areas, including meat cutting areas, kitchens, and bakeries
• Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, including racks, sales floors, and workstations
• Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance role preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
