About the Role

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Senior to join our team at Taylor Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and prepare the surgical suite, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
  • Handle instruments and equipment with precision and care, adhering to strict sterile technique.
  • Evaluate changing conditions during surgical procedures and respond accordingly.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical procedures and protocols, providing expert knowledge and support to the surgical team.
  • Act as a preceptor and mentor to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or completion of an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
  • At least 3 years of independent surgical technologist experience, with certification maintained throughout employment.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
  • Surgical Technologist Certified (CST) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) certification required upon hire.
