Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:
Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language services to students, ensuring their academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement tailored IEPs for students with speech and language needs, ensuring their progress and success.
- Speech and Language Therapy: Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress, share expertise, and provide recommendations.
- Record Keeping and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology, applying this knowledge to improve services and outcomes.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to school staff on speech and language development, enhancing their understanding and ability to support students.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure and Certification: New York state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and certification from the New York State Education Department for Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of IDEA and state and federal regulations governing special education, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
