Job Overview:

Allina Health Cancer Institute is actively seeking a qualified and dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist to enhance our esteemed practice. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional cancer care to our diverse patient population.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time opportunity encompassing both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
  • Collaboration with a team of 18 oncologists, alongside radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, and advanced practice providers.
  • Access to a robust nursing team, including nurse navigators dedicated to patient support.
  • Participation in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards to discuss patient cases.
  • Utilization of modern facilities and technology, including Epic, a leading electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with patients to enhance their health outcomes and overall well-being.
  • Adhere to a patient-centered approach that respects cultural diversity and individual autonomy.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive case management.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient care delivery and outcomes.
  • Involvement in peer review and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree required.
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Hematology/Oncology fellowship program.
  • Board eligibility or certification with ABMS or AOA is mandatory.
  • Possession of an active medical license in Minnesota or the ability to obtain one.
  • Capability to secure MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Compliance with credentialing and hospital privilege requirements.
  • BLS certification is required within 180 days of employment.
