Job Summary

The Nurse-Resident role at Prisma Health is a dynamic opportunity for new graduate nurses to launch their careers in a supportive and comprehensive Nurse Residency Program. As a Nurse-Resident, you will have the chance to develop your clinical skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities while working under the guidance of experienced nurses and educators.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in quality and core curriculum classes, professional development workshops, and peer support groups to enhance your nursing practice.
  • Successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
  • Work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team to refine your nursing knowledge and skills.
  • Actively participate in managing clinical situations, including documentation and procedures, under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
  • Adhere to Prisma Health's Compassion Standards, Mission, Vision, and Values, including integrity, teamwork, and excellence.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.
  • BLS required.
