We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Director to lead our youth programs and operations at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote the growth and development of our youth, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of our camp.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation
- Develop and implement programs that align with our organization's mission and goals
- Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality programs
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
- Staff Supervision and Development
- Supervise and mentor staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality programs
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
- Operations and Logistics
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the camp, including facilities management and maintenance
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of campers and staff
- Communication and Collaboration
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including parents, community leaders, and other organizations
- Communicate effectively with staff, campers, and parents to ensure everyone is informed and engaged
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to program delivery
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, youth development, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in program development and implementation, staff supervision, and operations management
- Skills and Qualifications
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse groups
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and outcomes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
