Job Summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to fill the role of Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Operating Room department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of patient care in the Operating Room
  • Systematically assess the health care needs of patients and families, and respond to care rendered
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to problem solve and initiate clinical decision making
  • Evaluate patient progress toward health goals and modify the plan of care accordingly
  • Develop, coordinate, and provide direct care for specific patient assignments
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients and families
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
Requirements
  • New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN required
  • Certification preferred in specialty or efforts to achieve certification
  • BSN degree required and 5 years clinical experience, two of which must be in the specialty or related service; or combination of education and experience acceptable to Clinical Director of Nursing or designee
