The Loudoun County Department of General Services is seeking a qualified applicant for a Systems Maintenance Crew Chief vacancy within the Facilities Support Division. This position will be a working supervisor over multiple crews in operating, maintaining, and repairing various facility systems, devices, and equipment in County occupied buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely perform advanced, complex mechanical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of emergency power systems, HVAC, building automation, and other systems, devices, and equipment.
- Review work orders, establish priorities, make daily work assignments to technicians, and schedule preventive maintenance work.
- Coordinate the work of contractors as needed.
- Conduct periodic mechanical systems inspections.
- Perform administrative duties, including submission of all purchase documentation according to County and departmental guidelines.
- Provide superior customer service at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with coursework or experience in MEP trades.
- Four (4) years of related work experience installing and maintaining commercial mechanical systems, devices, and equipment, and including a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
