About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at the New York Genome Center. As a key member of our research team, you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of statistical genetics and functional genomics analyses, developing new technologies and approaches to understand the impact of human genetic variation on gene expression and phenotypes.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate the impact of genetic variants on gene expression and phenotypes
  • Analyze large genomic, transcriptomic, and multi-omic data sets to identify patterns and correlations
  • Develop and implement new computational methods and tools to analyze and visualize genomic data
  • Collaborate with researchers from diverse backgrounds to integrate experimental and computational approaches
  • Present research findings in internal and external meetings, and publish results in top-tier scientific journals
Requirements
  • PhD or MD-PhD in a relevant field (molecular biology, statistical genetics, biochemistry, computational biology, or functional genomics)
  • Strong background in molecular biology, genomics, and computational biology
  • Experience with experimental and computational approaches to study genetic variation and gene expression
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
