Job Summary:

As a Production Technician I at Bio-Rad Laboratories, you will play a vital role in supporting the production of Formulation Product Pools in compliance with established GMP processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform directed activities in the Formulation department to complete the manufacture of Core, Hematology, and Diabetes product pools and intermediates.
  • Prepare for production by reviewing production schedules, assembling equipment, and supplies.
  • Operate and monitor equipment, observe varying conditions, adjust equipment controls, calculate concentrations, dilutions, and yields, and adhere to aseptic filtering and filing procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures.
  • Document production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records of equipment and batches.
  • Perform basic instrument operation and maintenance, and assist in troubleshooting instruments/equipment or reagents-related issues and coordinate support operations.
  • Assist in the routine preventive maintenance on equipment and review maintenance and/or equipment-specific procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, cGMP, policies, and procedures in the specialty area.
  • Ability to operate lab/test equipment.
  • Experience operating manual, semi-auto, and automatic production machinery preferred.
  • Transaction in SAP a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize work, accurate and detail-oriented, team player, flexible, and attentive to detail and quality-minded.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, with overtime and weekends as needed.

Compensation: The estimated hourly rate for this position is $20.10 to $27.60 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job-permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
