JOB SUMMARY

The Crane Operator at ProLift Rigging Co is tasked with delivering lifting and hoisting services to clients by executing crane setup, conducting pre-operation inspections, rigging, and operating cranes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoisting, and pulling equipment.

· Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare for movement using hand and power tools.

· Connect pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using bolts, shackles, and clamps.

· Clean and maintain machinery and component surfaces.

· Control the movement of heavy equipment through tight spaces or confined areas.

· Dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment.

· Manipulate rigging lines and hoists to move or support materials, steel, concrete, etc.

· Select gear, shackles, and cables based on load size, facilities, and work schedules.

· Signal or provide verbal directions to workers involved in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety.

· Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in lifting operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to respectfully address individuals when necessary and lead by example.

  • Completion of ProLift Specific, Regulatory, and Identified Equipment training through our internal LMS system is expected.
  • Completion of third-party and customer-required training may be necessary for on-site access.
  • Other duties as assigned/requested.

EDUCATION:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
