About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Blood Donor Services team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of donors while collecting high-quality blood components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional nursing care to donors, adhering to the highest standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless operations and efficient collection processes.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for staff and donors on phlebotomy procedures, infection control, and donor safety.
  • Serve as a resource for all staff members, providing guidance and support to address operational issues and improve quality outcomes.
  • Participate in unit and departmental committees to contribute to policy development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Certified Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Current licensure in the state of Massachusetts and current CPR certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Associate's degree in Nursing with relevant significant blood donor-related experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering a team environment and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and lead others effectively.
