Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Safety and Security to join our Risk Management and Safety department. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting the lives and property of all individuals on our premises, as well as ensuring the security and safety of our patients, residents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety and security plans to prevent and respond to emergencies
  • Oversee security operations, including patrols, surveillance, and access control
  • Collaborate with local emergency responders to ensure effective emergency response and coordination
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations
  • Develop and implement training programs for security staff and other employees
  • Manage the budget for safety and security operations, including security systems and personnel
Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience in security management, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Criminal justice background with traffic control experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, safety management, or related field required
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) certifications strongly preferred
