Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for driving a straight truck or van on local routes to deliver and unload various food and food-related products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-trip safety checks on the truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
  • Count and verify the items loaded on the truck.
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with freight.
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route.
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
  • Verify delivery of items with the customer and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors.
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns at the driver check-in dock and complete necessary paperwork.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
  • 6-12 months experience.
  • Non-Commercial Driver's License.
  • Meet the medical requirements of the DOT.
  • Successful driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
  • 1+ years of experience of successful driving experience within the foodservice industry.
  • OSHA Forklift operator certificate.
