Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and design industrial ovens and oven systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and cost constraints.
- Develop and maintain design layouts in computerized systems, utilizing expertise in mechanical design and thermodynamics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address manufacturing, design, and quality issues, driving continuous process improvement and method enhancement.
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree, with a completed junior year.
- Working knowledge of Solidworks, Pro/e, Catia, or Inventor is necessary for design and engineering tasks.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft packages is required for documentation and communication.
- High interest in mechanical design and thermodynamics is essential for success in this role.
- Self-motivation and a strong work ethic are necessary for effective collaboration and productivity.
- Interest in control systems is a plus, and good communication skills (written and verbal) are required for effective team collaboration.
