Physical Therapist Float Pool PRN

The Physical Therapist (PT) plays a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care for an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and participate in developing and implementing individualized care plans focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience.
- Provide or direct a majority of the patients physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.
- Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
- Instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
- Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
- Previous Physical Therapy experience
- Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Licensed by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. Davids Healthcare policy
St. Davids North Austin Medical Center is a multi-specialty hospital in Texas with over 360 beds. The facility is home to St. Davids Childrens Hospital, St. Davids Womens Center of Texas featuring a Level III NICU, a Kidney Transplant Center, and the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery. Additional services offered at this medical center include 24-hour emergency care, heart and vascular care, neurology and neurosurgery, rehabilitation services, and inpatient and outpatient surgery.
St. Davids North Austin Medical Center is part of St. Davids HealthCare, which is one of the largest healthcare systems in Texas and the third-largest employer in the Austin area. St. Davids HealthCare was formed through a unique partnership between HCA Healthcare and two local non-profits St. Davids Foundation and Georgetown Health Foundation.
