Assembler - 2nd Shift

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at General Technologies Inc. as a 2nd Shift Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare workstations by studying assembly instructions and gathering necessary parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and sub-assemblies using templates or measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Meet daily production quotas to ensure timely shipment of assembly work orders.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Communicate with leads and supervisors regarding discrepancies or assistance needed.
  • Promote and exercise safety by using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
  • Experience in a production setting is a plus, but not required (training provided).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for the entire shift.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Flexible and able to work extended shifts and/or weekends.
Compensation:

$9.00/hour + shift incentive of $1.00/hour

Physical Demands:

The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
