Medical Assistant Job Description

At Orhopedic Centers of Colorado, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Enter patient information, lab results, and other relevant data into electronic medical records.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, monitor patients in recovery areas, and provide basic wound care.
  • Coordinate patient care with team members, respond to patient and physician calls, and assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, restocking supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with coding office visits, complete and send surgery paperwork, and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong focus on patient quality and customer service, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Experience with electronic medical records is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform other physical demands of the job.
