We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Med/Surg team at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with medical providers and the care team to deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida or by compact license.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of employment start date.
- BCLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.
