Professional Requirements for Contract Business Attorneys:
  • Client-focused and service-oriented

  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
  • Ability to provide at least two professional references upon request
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing
  • Proficiency in working independently or as part of a collaborative team
  • Access to a laptop and reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Missouri bar membership; additional licensure is beneficial
Responsibilities of a Successful SEED Collective Contract Business Attorney:
  • Provide high-quality legal services through client counseling, contract drafting and negotiation, comprehensive research, and strategic guidance
  • Educate clients about their legal rights and obligations, recommending appropriate courses of action in business and corporate matters
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations; advise management on how to respond to legal issues or proposed changes in laws and regulations
  • Draft and prepare legally sound documents and correspondence in a client-ready format. Effectively present information to clients and senior management
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from regulatory agencies, clients, and community members
  • Contribute to ongoing business development and lead cultivation efforts
  • Deliver exemplary client interactions through written and verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Provide litigation support or leadership when required
  • Take on special projects as assigned
