Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for exams, gather medical histories, and assist with procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs and medication lists.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Stock examination rooms with necessary supplies and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Reconcile encounters daily and accurately, according to policy guidelines.
  • Provide referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Employ appropriate and timely use of Tasking in EHR.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Accredited CMA, RMA, or EMT program, highly encouraged.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant, CMA, RMA, or EMT preferred.
  • BLS certification.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to deal with difficult personalities.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Basic proficiency in computer use.
