Role Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) by assisting in the delivery of tailored therapy programs for students. This position requires a collaborative approach to ensure that therapy goals are effectively integrated into the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the SLP in executing personalized therapy plans for students.
- Deliver direct therapy services under the guidance of the SLP.
- Conduct regular assessments and track student progress meticulously.
- Work alongside educators and school personnel to incorporate therapy objectives into classroom activities.
- Maintain comprehensive records of therapy sessions and student advancements.
- Modify therapy resources and methods to accommodate the varied needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related discipline.
- Current California SLPA licensure.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in an educational context is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
