Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Success Academy, a network of public charter schools in New York City. As a teacher, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to our mission of providing a high-quality, whole-child education to every student, regardless of zip code or economic status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum standards.

• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance student learning.

• Manage a classroom of 20+ students and create a positive, productive learning environment.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations.

• Provide timely feedback and support to help students improve.

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.

Classroom Management:

• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a productive learning environment.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral issues.

• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student success.

Career Advancement and Skill Development:

• Success Academy offers opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.

• Develop strong communication and interpersonal skills through training and coaching.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passion for learning and commitment to student development.

• Ability to work in person in New York City.
