Key Responsibilities
As an A&P IA Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and servicing a fleet of company-owned aircraft, including models such as Cherokee 180's, Cessna 182, Thrush 510 P2+, and Piper PA.
  • Reporting directly to the Company Owner and collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Conducting thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to identify and rectify mechanical issues.
  • Repairing or replacing defective components utilizing hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Performing routine maintenance operations, including the replacement of power plant and aircraft components.
  • Executing 100-hour inspections and annual checks.

All tasks must be completed within designated time frames and adhere to the quality standards set by our company, our clients, and the FAA.

Safety Commitment
Promoting safety in the workplace is paramount. You will monitor compliance with safety manual guidelines and communicate effectively with other mechanics and supervisors regarding repairs and safety concerns.

Record Keeping
Maintain detailed records of inspections conducted, repairs completed, maintenance procedures followed, and parts ordered. Ensure timely billing and invoicing for services rendered.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid Airframe and Power Plant Technician license with IA.
  • Prior experience working with Lycoming, Continental, and PT6 turbine engines.
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to mentor and teach others.
  • A goal-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • A complete set of personal tools necessary for aircraft maintenance.
  • A valid US driver's license and authorization to work in the state.
  • Dependability and reliability, with adaptability to changing work conditions.

Education & Experience
An Associate's Degree in a related field along with relevant work experience is required.
