As a pivotal member of the team, the Export Control Officer will oversee the application and management of Export Control licenses, providing essential guidance to project members regarding export control regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Export Control Manager.
- Coordinate daily operations with the Export Control Licensing team.
- Engage with the management system to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit applications for new export licenses.
- Manage timely renewals of existing Export Control Licenses.
- Ensure adherence to USA License reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Export Control teams across various sites.
- Develop and implement project-specific export control instructions.
- Provide support and guidance to project teams.
- Recommend updates to internal export control policies.
- Report on export control KPIs to the Export Control Manager.
- Assist in training new employees on export control matters.
- Bachelor's degree in business, regulatory affairs, or a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Background in Logistics or Import/Export.
- Familiarity with export control lists and licenses.
- Understanding of Dual-Use regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and the regulatory process.
- 5-9 years of relevant experience in a nuclear facility is preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Proven experience with export licenses and regulatory agencies.
- Desirable familiarity with export control license applications in the USA.
- Experience in the energy or nuclear sector is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and drawings.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to completing tasks.
- Proficient in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Clear communication of import/export expectations.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills within the export control team.
- Team-oriented with a sense of ownership over work.
