Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Utility Route Driver to join our team at Canteen.

Job Summary:

As a Utility Route Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and selling products or rendering services to our customers. This includes driving a company-owned truck over established routes, collecting money from machines, and making change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service a particular route or location during the absence of the regular route or warehouse employee.
  • Assist Customer Service Managers with daily opening and closing of the operation, and training of new route service personnel.
  • Deliver products such as soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries to customers' places of business.
  • Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines, collect stale or rejected merchandise, and collect money from machines.
  • Record transactions on appropriate cards and/or electronic devices, and be accountable for cash and product.
  • Calls on existing customers to determine adequacy of service, informs regular customers of new products and/or services, and listens to and resolves service complaints.
  • Select items from the warehouse and load the truck, prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
  • Perform routine maintenance on and sanitation of machines, set up merchandise and sales promotion displays, or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and perform job safely.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
