Job Title: Elementary School Teacher

At the Alabama Department of Education, we are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Elementary School Teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in grades K-5.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  2. Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure students meet learning objectives.
  3. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  4. Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in elementary education.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Alabama.
  • Proven track record of success in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to changing circumstances.
