Job Overview

AGS, Inc. is a reputable engineering firm seeking to hire two full-time Site Engineers. This role will be integral in managing contracts with municipal authorities.

The Site Engineer will provide comprehensive support to the Construction Manager in overseeing contract administration. This includes assisting with the contract modification process, monitoring field issues, and addressing disputes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various Project Managers, Project Engineers, and contractors to tackle constructability, funding, and administrative challenges. Experience in preparing and processing construction documents such as progress payments, change orders, and as-built drawings is essential. The Site Engineer will also facilitate and document project meetings to address issues with contractors and stakeholders. Additionally, this role may involve serving as the Construction Inspector to ensure quality assurance oversight, resolve issues, and maintain documentation. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Working Conditions:

Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, and commit to a minimum term of six months. The position may require early morning or late-night shifts, as well as weekend work. The work environment may involve challenging conditions, including inclement weather, uneven surfaces, and prolonged standing.

  • At least three years of verifiable professional engineering experience, with infrastructure experience in public rights-of-way being advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct office engineering tasks, quality assurance monitoring, and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Perform necessary testing for contract compliance.
  • Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings for adherence to project requirements.
  • Identify and report safety and environmental hazards that may affect project designs.
  • Evaluate project schedules and develop inspection plans.
  • Coordinate various project phases and participate in field meetings.
  • Address issues and respond to complaints effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and meeting minutes.
  • Analyze and implement approved change order requests.
  • Maintain accurate records and verify field measurements.
  • Prepare quantity and progress estimates.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of project management principles and general inspection practices.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and repair methods and procedures.
  • Research techniques and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Understanding of materials and their appropriate use in projects.

Salary Information:

Position: Site Engineer

Annual Salary Range: Minimum: $132,200, Maximum: $156,000

Hourly Rate: Minimum: $65.00, Maximum: $75.00
