Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Assembly Worker to join our team at Publix Super Markets, Inc. As a Pre-Assembly Worker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to prepare equipment and products for production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Preparation: Set up and start up all equipment in the department, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Product Handling: Open packages, place product in tubs or racking product, and transport to the appropriate area.
  • Documentation: Document equipment inspections, report unsafe conditions or damage to product, equipment, or facility, and document lot numbers and code dates.
  • Inventory Management: Label and ensure accurate inventory of products.
  • Quality Assurance: Read and comprehend production paperwork and documents, audit materials, and assist operators with daily production tasks.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Accurately complete all paperwork required by the position and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Work Habits: Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to push or pull pallets in excess of 1500 lbs, lift in excess of 50 lbs frequently, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good human relations skills, excellent attendance and punctuality, and be able to work well with others and be a team player.
  • Availability: Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
