Tool Maker

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our team at Tigre Manufacturing. As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment. If you have experience with mold maintenance, repair, and setup, and are proficient in manual machining skills, we encourage you to apply.

• Maintain molds in good repair, including checking and lubricating as scheduled or needed
• Troubleshoot mold-related problems, identify damage or wear issues, and make corrections
• Repair and make modifications to molds
• Work closely with process technicians and setup technicians to verify mold installation and operations
• Perform preventative maintenance of injection molds
• Manage spare mold tooling part inventory
• Verify mold tooling dimensional conformance to print tolerances

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical school degree and/or 2-3 years equivalent experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience with hands-on mold maintenance and making modifications to molds
• Journeyman tool and die certificate required
• Significant knowledge of the injection molding process and equipment, PVC and/or CPVC material characteristics
• Ability to understand, read, write English, Bi-Lingual in Spanish would be a plus
