About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team at Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in our Baltimore office. As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in empowering our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions and create a better, greener future for all.

Responsibilities
  • Establish criteria for industrial systems, including determining applicable codes and selecting controllers for various applications.
  • Develop system routing options and coordinate the layout of industrial systems and equipment.
  • Monitor, interpret, and conduct tests of Programmable Logic Controllers/distributed control system.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and five years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience.
  • Expertise in designing, programming, and implementing control systems, including Allen Bradley, Modicon, or Siemens PLCs.
  • Experience with industrial networks and communication protocols, PLC programming, and industrial system design codes, standards, and specification requirements.
  • Proficiency in engineering design programs, including AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
