At DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse, Labor will be responsible for providing direct patient care to mothers and newborns in the Labor and Delivery unit. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in shared decision-making activities and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
- Delegate patient care activities to team members, as needed, to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Graduation from a school of nursing required.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
The Registered Nurse, Labor will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing care to mothers and newborns in the Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
