Copper Casting Technician

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and Quality Assurance Procedures (QAPs) associated with the role.
- Assemble, maintain, and operate machinery utilized in the continuous casting process for copper tubing production.
- Manage melting and holding furnaces effectively.
- Handle various types of refractory materials, including castables and ramming mixtures.
- Support production activities, including tool changes, quality inspections, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Charge and melt copper materials, including cathodes and scrap.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure product standards are met.
- Work under supervision while performing tasks related to general business operations.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to:
- Perform tasks involving firm grasping, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Operate in varying temperature environments and on potentially slippery surfaces.
- Utilize personal protective equipment and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Distinguish colors and operate various hand tools effectively.
