About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Speech Language Pathology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional speech-language pathology services to patients with speech, language, or swallowing difficulties.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop treatment plans for assigned patients.
- Administer treatments and adapt instructional material and therapy aids as needed.
- Document patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with hospital policies and insurance requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- A Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech/Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Licensure in the State of Michigan and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior experience treating adult and pediatric patients, preferably with voice disorders and videofluroscopic swallow studies.
