Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care in support of medical care and in accordance with established standards of care and policies.
  • Contribute to the nursing assessment and promote positive relationships and teamwork among employees and between departments.
  • Responsible and accountable for own clinical practice and the quality and quantity of nursing care given to patients by nursing personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Alabama nursing license.
  • BCLS certification (current).
  • Successful completion of Southeast Health pharmacology exam.
  • Computer literacy.
Skills:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in an emergency situation.
  • Basic typing skills.
  • Effective telephone techniques.
  • Ability to perform patient assessment, including vital signs, history, medication reconciliation, and administering medications.
